Whether it’s a visit to the annual Ruhr Festival in May or June or a business occasion with little time to relax, we have tips for you! For those who only want a short sauna, our sauna and steam bath are heated up at any time on request. (Should they not already be switched on.) A stroll around town can start right outside the front door. The pedestrian zone begins directly in front of our gate. In the immediate vicinity (besides our hotel restaurant “Engels”) you will find numerous restaurants, pizzerias, cafés and pubs. You tell us what you like to eat best and we will be happy to recommend the right restaurateur for you.

And in three minutes by car you are in the countryside. The large forest area around the Haard borders directly on Recklinghausen and a visit to the farm shop is a reality within 15 minutes. The Loemühle airfield, only a few kilometres away from us, has already seen one or two guests in a hurry land with their aircraft. For those who do not have their own flying object, there is tandem parachuting or a flight in a gyrocopter. Balloon rides are another offer in the immediate vicinity. A jogging track in the immediate vicinity has already been tried out by many of our guests.
